Six defined engagements, each with a written deliverable

Nothing here is open ended. Every engagement has a stated scope, a named lead, a fixed fee agreed in advance and a document you actually receive at the end.

Case assessment

A structured read of your matter: timeline, rails, counterparties, evidence held and the routes that realistically remain. Delivered as a written assessment. Free at first contact.

Asset & payment tracing

Bank rails, card schemes, remittance corridors and on chain movement mapped to the last provable point, with attribution where the data supports it.

Evidence packaging

Your material indexed, de-duplicated, source logged and assembled into the format banks, regulators and law enforcement intake teams accept.

Institutional correspondence

Drafting and tracking notifications and follow ups to banks, payment providers, exchanges and platforms, with response logging.

Referral support

Preparing the file so counsel, an insolvency practitioner or an authority can pick it up without re-doing the groundwork.

Business resilience review

For companies after an incident: payment approval controls, supplier verification and staff briefing notes to reduce the next exposure.

Engagement shapes

Choose the depth that fits the matter

Most clients begin with a first review and stop there if no workable route exists. Nothing escalates automatically.

Durations describe a typical engagement target, an internal working objective, not a commitment. Actual timeframes depend on the facts, the jurisdictions, the counterparties and the responsiveness of third parties.

Scope discipline

What is deliberately outside our scope

Being clear about what we do not do is part of protecting you. SCO Management is not a law firm, a bank, an insurer or a public authority, and we do not act as one.

  • We do not give legal, tax, accounting or investment advice.
  • We do not litigate, freeze accounts, or issue any form of legal demand.
  • We do not contact suspected fraudsters or attempt to negotiate with them.
  • We do not take custody of client funds, and we never handle a “recovery payment”.
  • We do not accept credentials, seed phrases, one-time codes or identity documents that are not required.

Where a matter needs one of those things, we say so and prepare the file so the right professional can act quickly.

Our fee

We charge 5% of what we recover for you

One number, written into the engagement letter before any work starts. If nothing is recovered, there is no fee to pay.

FreeFirst case review

You find out in writing whether a documented route exists before money is ever discussed.

5%Of funds recovered

Charged only on amounts actually returned to your own account, and only once they arrive.

0%If nothing comes back

No recovery means no fee. Many well documented matters conclude without a financial recovery, and we say so plainly.

  1. The first review is freeYou learn whether anything workable exists before any fee arises.
  2. One rate, written down5% of the amount recovered, stated in the engagement letter you sign before work begins.
  3. Charged only on money you receiveThe fee applies to funds returned to your account, never to a projection or an estimate.
  4. No urgent payment requests, everWe will never call demanding a fee to release funds. That call is always a fraud.
  5. Stop points are built inYou decide at the end of each phase whether to continue. Nothing renews silently.
Nothing on this site is a promise, prediction or guarantee of recovery. Outcomes depend on the facts, the evidence, the jurisdictions, the counterparties and the applicable legal and regulatory processes.

Common questions about scope

Short answers before you commit

That is precisely what the first review is for. Around a third of matters we read conclude with a written note explaining that no documented route remains, and no fee.

Yes, though age changes what is available. Bank records, platform logs and exchange data have retention limits, so older matters usually depend more on what you personally kept.

Frequently. We prepare material in the format they ask for and stay in a supporting role rather than duplicating their work.

We map which jurisdiction each leg of the payment touched and what that means procedurally. Cross-border matters are slower and more constrained; we set that out honestly up front.

Start where it costs nothing

Send the matter to SCO Management and get a written view

Ten minutes of intake gives an analyst enough to tell you what your file actually contains and what could be done with it.
